This year, ProfiNRG has opted for a gesture that goes beyond a promotional gift. Instead of sending gifts, we are investing in a sustainable project that changes lives.<\/p>

For years, we have been involved in the wonderful initiatives of Anco and Ewien van Bergeijk (CAMA) in West Africa. This time, we are supporting one of their latest projects: electrifying a clinic in Togo.<\/p>

Paediatrician and colleague Brett asked Anco van Bergeijk to design an energy system for a clinic under construction in Togo, in close collaboration with local technicians. Thanks to ProfiNRG's Christmas contribution, another container full of materials will soon be loaded onto a ship.<\/p>

With solar panels and a battery system, we ensure that this clinic can count on a stable and reliable energy supply. This means that patients not only receive care, but also hope \u2013 day and night.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Brett: \"We are so grateful for the work of Anco and Ewien! It is an enormous challenge to do sustainable medical work in rural West Africa. We train local people and enable them to care for the body, mind and soul of their own countrymen.<\/p>

Many people cannot afford expensive medical care, yet free care is not sustainable in the long term. Hospital revenues cover staff salaries and the purchase of medicines. Without the supply of solar energy and shipping containers from the United Kingdom, we would not have been able to independently open and operate our partner hospitals and health centres in West Africa. Thanks to this work, the centres are able to provide care to everyone at very low cost while spreading the love of Christ.\u00a0<\/p>

Together, we ensure that sustainable energy changes lives. <\/strong><\/p>

Involved in Africa<\/h3>

In the Netherlands, a lot of material, for example discarded but still working solar panels and
leftover installation materials, discarded. In Africa, however, they are eager for this. Through close contacts with\u00a0Anco van Bergeijk<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Ewien van Bergeijk<\/a>\u00a0(CAMA) in Senegal, much of ProfiNRG's project leftover installation equipment finds its way to Africa. This allows safe, professional solar installations to be realised, making a real difference. In particular, they help clinics, homes and schools to have a stable, own, energy supply.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A challenging project<\/h2>

Bert: \"I am currently in Senegal visiting Anco and Ewien van Bergeijk to help install small-scale off-grid solar systems with battery storage for the night. This is for schools, clinics, water pumps etc. Some panels of a PV system were damaged beyond repair after a fire at a commercial building. Since no one could guarantee that the remaining panels were still good, everything had to be destroyed. In the end, we were able to convince them to allow us to donate the good panels to Africa. This makes us, but certainly the people in Africa, very happy. If you come across another batch of these kinds of panels, electricity distributors or batteries, please contact me. ProfiNRG's 10th anniversary in 2022 coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Beer Sheba project in Senegal. Reason for us to put this project in the extra spotlight. Partly for this reason, our marketing & communication colleagues went to Senegal to visit the projects where, among other things, our used\/remaining solar panels and inverters go.<\/p>

In addition, instead of the usual gifts, we asked for financial contributions for a battery storage system. With this battery system, they can use the power generated during the day, for the sprinkler system at night. This gives the soil enough time to absorb the water, before it evaporates. So they save a lot of precious groundwater.<\/p>

ProfiNRG has a series of solar panel projects in Africa<\/strong>\u00a0realised. Director Bert van Woudenberg is in Burkina Faso<\/strong>\u00a0been there to help realise a number of pv-<\/strong>projects.<\/strong><\/p>

Van Woudenberg: 'I am delighted that we were able to contribute to a number of solar panel projects in Burkina Faso. It was a great experience to work with a number of local people, led by Anco van Bergeijk. Here, we supplied a number of radio stations and a school with solar panels and battery systems, enabling these installations to run completely standalone.
