Zonnepark de Dogger, Den Helder

Solar energy park the Dogger is an initiative of employees of the Noordwest Hospital Group. A 7.45-megawatt solar park has been realised at location De Dogger in Den Helder. The 19,350 panels should produce 7 gigawatt hours of electricity per year. This is comparable to the power consumption of 2,400 households. The Noordwest Hospital Group will purchase the power. This will make the hospital's energy consumption more sustainable. Employees invest financially in the solar park. Thus, the energy generated by the employees goes to the hospital.
