Hurricane Company clothing: sustainable and forward-looking entrepreneurship

Hurricane Company Clothing, a renowned supplier of workwear, has taken a major step towards sustainability. The company decided to go completely ‘off the gas’ and modernise their energy supply.

The first major change was the installation of heat pumps. This replaced gas-fired heating with a more efficient and environmentally friendly alternative. Employees immediately noticed an improved indoor climate and were enthusiastic about the more sustainable working environment.

However, during the transition, it was found that the existing grid connection was too small to support the company's growing energy needs. To solve this problem, a powerful battery system was installed with a capacity of 100 kW / 200 kWh. This energy storage allows the company to smartly store generated energy and smooth out peak consumption, thus relieving the grid and reducing energy costs.

In addition, there were three 11 kW charging stations installed, suitable for simultaneous charging of multiple electric vehicles. For this application, the Alfen Single Pro-line 11 kW, each with two loading points. These smart charging stations offer extensive communication capabilities, allowing them to be seamlessly controlled via the Energy management system (EMS) from Censo.

ProfiNRG was allowed to design and realise the entire installation - consisting of battery storage, charging infrastructure and smart control. With our years of experience in building PV and energy storage systems for a variety of customers, we were a valuable link in this project. Our vision is that every customer deserves a customised solution, tailored to the specific situation and future ambitions. Working with ProfiNRG, Hurricane received not only a technically high-quality, but also a future-proof energy solution.

To complete this sustainable change, Hurricane Company Clothing also decided to switch to an all-electric vehicle fleet. This resulted in substantial savings on fuel costs and a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions.

Thanks to these investments, Hurricane Corporate Clothing has taken a big step towards a sustainable, energy-efficient future. The company shows that innovation and environmental awareness can go hand in hand, without compromising on comfort and reliability.
