We realise large-scale solar parks and design and supply integrated renewable energy solutions consisting of, among others, EV (Electric Vehicle) charging solutions, batteries, solar panels and energy management solutions. We operate in Benelux, France, Germany and Scandinavia.

We are looking for a Business Controller who translates financial insights into concrete steering information and challenges management on performance and results.

The Role

As Business Controller, you work together with the senior project controllers and are responsible for controlling service & maintenance. You identify risks and opportunities at an early stage and translate figures into clear actions. You make the difference between reporting and steering and in time you will become the team leader.

Your duties include

• Financial Control & Planning: Drawing up and monitoring budgets and forecasts, deviation analyses and yield monitoring, substantiation of annual plans
• Management Information & Performance: Development of dashboards and KPI structures, Monthly and quarterly reports, Analysis of margin, working capital and cash flow, Translating figures into concrete improvement actions;
• Risk management: Identification of financial and operational risks, Scenario analyses in case of deviations or market fluctuations, Monitoring liquidity and working capital, Timely detection of performance deviations
• Project and Contract Control: Monitoring project return and Forecast Final Result, Monitoring of Work in Progress (OHW), Analysis of contract and service margins, Supporting project controllers and project management;

The position is for 40 hours a week working from our Utrecht office. Hybrid working is of course possible. You will report to the management.

What do we ask of you?

We are looking for a financial talent who enjoys working in a dynamic project organisation. You are collaborative, committed, entrepreneurial, pragmatic and can act independently and decisively.

And beyond that you have:

• A completed HBO/WO degree in finance or business economics;
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within a projects organisation;
• affinity with engineering, construction, energy or industry;
• a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
• Experience with Afas (preferred);
• Knowledge and experience of contract and risk management (preferred).
