From solar panels to smart energy storage and charging
In collaboration with Van Bemmel Containerservice and Marc Leliveld, we share the story behind their move to energy storage combined with a charging solution.
When we expanded our fleet with an electric vehicle, the need for a reliable, future-proof charging solution soon arose. Since we already have solar panels on our premises, we saw energy storage as a great opportunity: making smart use of the generated power, even when the sun is not shining. This way, we could avoid peak loads on the grid and get a better grip on our energy costs. The combination of energy storage and charging infrastructure fitted in perfectly.
Choosing ProfiNRG
For us, it was important to work with a reliable party with extensive experience in large-scale solar installations and energy storage systems. ProfiNRG had previously installed our solar panels, and thanks to the connection with (former founder of ProfiNRG) Bert van Woudenberg, their choice was obvious. We experienced ProfiNRG as expert and committed, with a practical approach that fits well with our way of working as a family business.

Technical challenges
A key challenge was integrating the energy storage with our existing infrastructure without disrupting our daily operations. Thanks to good preparation and the flexibility of both parties, this process went smoothly and without significant disruption.
Future plans for sustainability
We are constantly looking at ways to become more sustainable. These include replacing diesel vehicles and machines with electric variants, and optimising our recycling processes with innovative techniques.
Advice to other companies
For companies thinking about energy storage and electric charging, we have one important tip: start mapping your energy consumption and charging demand early. In addition, choose a partner who is not only technically skilled, but also understands what is going on within your sector. Good preparation and tailor-made advice really make the difference.
