This is expected to generate half of the required energy: 259 kilowatt peak (KWp). As a social organisation, Linde College feels it has an exemplary role to play, including when it comes to sustainability. Pupils and staff can follow the daily savings on a large screen placed near the main entrance. By doing so, the school aims to encourage environmental awareness among students. "We are also utilising this project educationally. There is a demo set-up in the technology classroom that can be used during lessons. In addition, pupils received guest lessons from the installer about the installation and operation of solar panels during engineering classes," said Linde College.
