The netting scheme for solar panels would start from 1 January 2023 to be phased out. But in a letter to new climate minister Rob Jetten, officials at the Ministry of Economic Affairs revealed that this is not feasible.

In all likelihood, the phase-out of the energy-saving scheme will be delayed by a year. This will have considerable financial consequences. The postponement is important because of the preparation time needed by grid operators, energy suppliers and Agency Telecom. It further states that a final decision on this should be made by the new cabinet as soon as possible.
