ProfiNRG begins construction of the Lanakerveld Solar Park in Maastricht

ProfiNRG has commenced construction of the Lanakerveld Solar Park, one of the largest renewable energy projects in Limburg. Following the successful development of the project by Sunvest and its recent transfer to Enovos Green Power and Demea Sustainable Investment, the focus is now on the construction of the solar park and the battery energy storage system (BESS). The park, with an installed capacity of 60.4 MWp of solar energy and 25 MW / 100 MWh of battery storage, will be situated on a site of approximately 41 hectares on the border between Maastricht and Lanaken. As the EPC contractor, ProfiNRG is responsible for carrying out the construction work and ensuring the safe and efficient handover of the project.

Construction is in full swing

ProfiNRG began preparatory work at the start of August. Over the coming months, the work will include carrying out civil engineering works, erecting the substructure and installing the solar panels and battery system. Throughout the project, great attention will be paid to safety and to minimising any disruption to the local area.
