2 MWh / 1 MW storage system successfully commissioned in Rijnsburg

Good news from Rijnsburg: a new 2 MWh / 1 MW battery storage system has been successfully commissioned at Bakker van Maanen.

The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) stores the solar energy generated by the PV system for use when needed. This enables Bakker van Maanen to make better use of its own sustainably generated energy and to manage peaks in supply and demand more effectively.

In addition, the system offers further capabilities, such as energy trading and support for grid frequency via the Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR). As a result, the battery not only contributes to more efficient operations, but also to a more stable electricity grid.

A great step towards greater flexibility, smarter energy use and a future-proof energy supply.
