Solar park The solar forest Zeewolde

The construction of Solar Park The Solar Forest Zeewolde has been completed by ProfiNRG. With an annual production of 9000 MWh per year, this solar park generates green power for more than 3,000 households in Zeewolde.

The plan sought a design with recreational added value for the surrounding area. The Solar Forest is therefore open to visitors daily during the day. The solar park thus has a unique recreational dual function and is used by Sunvest develops as ‘an energetic experience in the forest’.

The observation tower at the main entrance offers views of the entire area. At the back of the park is a cable car where one can whiz past the panels. In the middle of the area is a central hill with a wooden house with a solar power charging point for phones. Just behind the hill, a part of the park will be set up with a specific function; education. Here, QR codes link through to informative facts about the park, how the solar power generation system works and the energy transition.

At the beginning of the park, cyclists can charge their electric bikes with solar power from the park. The plant's power cables are of course safely shielded. The wooden fence around the Solar Forest will be equipped with fauna passages for small game.
