A battery container, also known as an energy storage system or battery storage system, is a container in which large batteries are installed to store energy. These containers play a crucial role in modern energy infrastructure, especially with the increasing focus on renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power.

How does a battery container work?

Battery containers are mainly used to store excess energy generated during periods of low demand or high production. For example, solar power can only be produced when the sun is shining, and wind power depends on the wind. These sources often produce more energy than is immediately needed. With a battery container, this excess energy can be stored and used later when demand is higher or production is lower. This helps balance the power grid and ensures a stable energy supply.

In addition, battery containers are often deployed in areas with limited access to a stable power grid, such as remote or rural areas. They can also serve as emergency power supplies for critical infrastructure such as hospitals, data centres and communication centres

Battery Container

Our compact, liquid-cooled battery containers have a storage capacity of as much as 5 MWh. These containers contain LFP-type battery cells, known for their safety and cost efficiency. Thanks to their own fire safety and climate systems, these containers offer absolute security. Moreover, we supply them with a long warranty and numerous charging cycles, so you can be sure that your investment will pay for itself.

Power Conversion Systems

There is always a Power Conversion System (PCS) between the battery containers and the power grid. This is a rectifier that converts alternating current (AC) from the grid into direct current (DC) so it can be used to charge the batteries. Our PCS even has an emergency power function to provide power during an outage.

Energy Management System

The Energy Management System (EMS) is the digital brain of your energy system. This modem and its associated software control not only the PCS and batteries but also connect to your energy supplier and other devices that can be controlled smartly. This could include charging stations and large appliances whose consumption you can control smartly.
